To Kill a Mockingbird Book Cover Redesign

Book Cover Redesign of Harper Lee's classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird
“A really good book cover has to work regardless of what it’s about, on a visceral and emotional level."  - Chip Kidd
Because azaleas can grow in unbearable conditions, they are a perfect representation that even within prejudiced and judgemental towns, there is still a beauty to be found.
My character book cover shows two silhouettes—both Scout and any male figure within the novel. As To Kill a Mockingbird is a coming of age novel for Scout, readers often see Scout trying to find her way through the world in places she often doesn't belong—like the mind of others.
My location cover on a larger scale represents Maycomb as rampant with racial injustice and prejudiced ways, and is hypothetically up in flames. On a smaller scale, the striking a match symbolizes Scout, Jem and Dill attempting to lure Boo Radley out of his house.
